SECTION 1. No person shall engage in or manage the profession,
business or occupation haroinaf ter named, within the City of ?
Clear,•rater, unless a city license shall be secured from the
' City Clerk of this City, which license shall be issued to
' each arson or persons on the receipt of the amount herein-

stated, and the same shall be signed--by the City Clerk .,
,. and the City Manager, and shall have the City Seal affixed. ,-- s
' SECTION 2. No license shall be issued for a period of loss
than six (6) moni;1is as hereinafter specifically
except stated, provided that for each license issued between
October first and April first, of each year, the full amount
ti of license tax hereby imposed shall be paid; and f or each
license issued after April first, of each year, one half of
the total amount of license shall be paid.
SECTION 3. On and after October is t, 1937, the following;
license tax shall be assessed and collected to-wit:
(a) BAIM-RIES WHOLESALE shall pay an annual license tax
of ~"50.00. ,t. .
(b) MERCHANTS shall pay an annual license tax based upon
the value of their stock of merchandise, in accordance
with the following schedule, to-wit:
Stock of goods valued at 5µ500.00, or lees, the annual
