FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. Any person, firm or coipovution vithin the City of
Clearwater wanting gas sovvi.ce inuat rinlce application for such
cervice connection to City Gas main, to the Superintendont of
the Gas Departmelit, who shall issue permit for such Connection
and said applicant must pay connection fee as set forth in Section
2 hereof, to the City Collector before connection will be made.
All taps and C0I1110CU01'03 to be made IV authorized employees of the
Gas Department.
BECTIO14 2. Te)Lnns and fees for tapping are as follvas: 3/4 inch
service, regular house service taps shall be $6,00 for tapping,
all connections to be extended from Fns main to outside curb line.
Larger size taps and connections to be made and charges fixed on
cost of material, used and labor for same. Meters and regulators
to be furnished by the Gas Department.
SEWTION .3. Gas rates tuider the different schedules to be as
follows:
(a) Donestic, (otore, office or residential service)etc.
500 cubic feet ',nini+num bill 5) 1.25 Net
500 cubic feet 1.35 Net
700 cubic feet 1.45 Net
800 cubic feet 1.55 Net
900 cubic feet; 1.65 Net
1000 cubic feet 1.75 Net
Next 1000 cubic feat 1,75 per bl.n
Next 3000 cubic feet 1.50 per M.
All over 5000 cubic feet 1.35 per 1,1.
(b) Op -ionnl rate. To users who own and operate an.
automatic hot Venter hoater,. and on their rearrest, an optional rate
will bo made of a flat charge of y?1.75 per month plus a charge for
all gas used at $1.00 per thousand cubic feet. On this service tlxo
minimum monthly change is ti?1.75.
(e) To large users such as industrial plants, restuarants
and central heating plants, the City >1S:anager is authorized to
establish reasonable rates depending on volume and chavactor of
service anywhere between rate (a) and rate (b).

or more storios in height, must be. installed by approval of
Superintendent Gas Depiutment. Largor uorvico piped will be
' rocuired in buildings of two., -or more storios in hoight to
give an adequate gas supply, and a more satisfactory ser-
vice. Penalty far non-obsorvance of this section will be
refusal of service until piping is corrected by owner and
c approved by Superintendent Gas Department.
., SECTIOL 5. All service pipes must have a suitable lock

accessible place, aid imtst not be placed where it may be
` covered by walls or lattice work on buildings. Penalty for
non--observance of this Section will be the same as in Section
4.
SECTION 6. All repairs to Gas service pipes from property
' line inwanxI must be ..lade at owner = s expense, but the Gas

Department .reserves the right and authority at any time to
make all repairs from gas mains to meter, sLune to be charged
to property minor. All other repairs must be matte by owner.

negligence on jr-rt of consumer, will be charged to consumer,
where such damages occur.

9.
Sk monthly following the month in which the gas is used. Bill

for same will be mailed to consumer monthly, provided however
-'- failure to receive bill will not constitute a claim for non--
payment of the same. All accounts will become delinquent
fifteen days following the rendering of the bill. Gas
service will be discontinued after bill has become delinquent
and a'turn-on fee of 01.00 will be collected when bill is paid
and, gas will be turned on as soon as possible. Complaints for

SECTION 10. It shall by unlwaful for anyone, not an
authorized employee of Gas Department to turn on gas where
gas has been shut off for non-puyment of gas resits, and other
accounts. No gas shall be turned on by anyone not an authorized
employee of Gas Department whether it be ra new service connection
or an old service connection that has been shut off for cause.
Parties wanting gas turned on shall notify Gas Department, and
scone will be turned on within a reasonable time.
SECTION 11. It shall be unlawful for anyone, not an authorized
employee of the Gas Department to muddle with, or remove meters
and/or regulators, and to meddle with or use service shut-off
cock, except in case of accident to the piping, or necessary
repairs.
SECTION 12. It shall be unlawful for anyone., not an authorized
employee of the Gas Department or the City Fire Department to in
any way meddle with or open Gate valves, or to meddle in any way
with the Gas Norks Equipment, Plant or Maiais.
SECTION 13. 'The Superintendent of Gas Department or any person
authorized by him, shall have access (at any reasonable hour of
day) to any premises served by Gas Department, for inspection of
piping and fixtures, or for reading meters.
SECTION 14. Any person who shall violate any of the provisions
of this Ordinance shall upon conviction in the Municipal Court
be fined not exceeding the awn of $100.00, or imprisoned in the
City Jail not exceeding thirty (30) days, or by both such fine
and imprisonment, in the discretion of the Municipal Judge.
