That the Chief of the Police Department -be, aniff he s lereby authorized and directed to confiscate , any and all abandoned 'personal property within the City Limits of Cloarwater, Florida, subject to the following ? terms and conditions: (A) That said abandoned personal property, unless perishable, shall remain in the' possession and custody of the Police Department, f oi, a period of two (2) weeks before being thus confiscated, and during said period of time said i Chief , of Police shall use reasonable diligonee in an effort ;.: to locate the owner of the °sarie, and if said owner be located he shall be given five (5) days notice requesting that he pay All charges, foes, fines, damages and expenses due to the City, and that upon his failure to pay the same said personal property shall.forthivith be confiscated.
