ORDINANCE NO. 277
AN ORDINANCE providing Sanitary regulations in the oper-
ation of bottling plants, providing for the, licensing of any
person, firm or corporation uanufacturing or engaged in the
wholesale distribution of bottled drinks in the City of
Clearwater, providing for tho penalty for the violation of
this ordinance, and repealing all ordinances or parts of 1 is
ordinances in conflict therewith.
Be it ordained by the City Conmission of the City of ;
Clearwater, Florida:
Section 1. That all plants located in the City of
Clearwater, engaged in the manufacturing or preparation of :" °..;'•,: ';'`"
bottled drinks for consumption and to be sold and distributed
in tho City of Clearwater, 'shall be subject to and abide by
= the following regulations.
1. All bottles must be sterlized before filling.
2 There shall be proper outlets or se

' waste . water and sediment from bottle washer and sterilizers, i ;•!' ;'?'
and under no condition shall such waste be thrown on the
ground and allowed to evaporate or seep into the ground unlees

proper sanitary condition.
3. All syruping and filling devices must be cleaned and
sterilized at least once per day and kept in a sanitary
condition.
4. All carbonating machines must be kept in a clean and
sanitary condition.',

to dealers in the City of Clearwater.. Florida, for tho purpose
of retail, shall pay a license of $100.00 for each year.
Any person, firm or corporation applying for a license under j
this ordinance which shall apply for aamo. on or after the j
first day of October of any year and 'before the first day of
' the next succeeding April, shall be required to obtain n
t' license for a full year, but any person, firm or corporation
-' applying, for such license after the first day of April of
? any year shall only be required to obtain such license until
I -the first dray of the next succeeding October and in which
event ones-half of the.full license shall be required.
It shall- be tho duty of the Sanitary Inspector of the City .
of Clearwater to inspect all places where bottled drinks ar,e' ,
manufactured in the City of ' Clearwater, and report the

Section Ill.' Any person, firm or corporation attempting to
carry on the business mentioned in this Ordinance without
first having obtained a license as above rmntioned in Section II,
shall, be subject to a fine of not more than ,4 00.00, or
i.sprisoiwient in the City Jail for not more than sixty days, or.
both, in'the discretion of the :'Iunicipal Judge.
