THE SAME APPLIES TO BOTTLING PLANTS, PROVIDING SANITARY REGULATIONS IN THE OPERATION OF BOTTLING PLANTS, PROVIDING FOR THE LICENSING OF ANY FIRtd, PERSON Oh CORPORATION MANUFACTURING, OR ENGAGED IN THE WHOLESALE DISTRIBUTION OF BOTTLED DhiNKS, AND PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY FOR VIOLATIONS OF THIS ORDINANCE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY CCUMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA: Seotion 1. That all bottling plants operating within the limits of the City of Clearwater, Florida, shall be subject to, and abide by, the following rules and regulations: 1. All bottles must bo sterlized before filling. 2. There shall be proper outlets or sewers to dispose of waste water and sediment from bottle washer and sterilizer, and under no condition shall such waste be thrown on the ground and allowed to evaporate c.r seep 'into the ground unless some strong chemical be used to keep the used area in a proper sanitary condition. 3. All syruping and filling devices must be cleaned and sterlized at least once per day and kept in a sanitary oondition. 4. All carbonating machines must be kept in a clean and sanitary oondition. 5. The floors of each plant must be either of good, or cement and must be kept in a clean, sanitary condition. 6. There shall be windows, doors and ventilators suffioant to eliminate odors and keep the working environment in a healthy condition. 7. Sanitary toilets must be installed and kept clean and free from odors as modern chemicals can make them. SECTION II. Any person, firm or corporation engaged in the business of making, and/or selling and distributing bottled drinks to dealers for the purpose of retail, in the City of Clearwater,. shall pay a„lioense fas of $200.00 for each year. Provided, that any person, firm or corporation commenoing to engage in said business between the first day of April and the first i day of October may obtain a license for a period of six months, or until the ensuing first day of October, in which event, one half of the full lioense shall be paid. It shall be the duty of the Sanitary Inspector of the City of Clearwater to inspect all places whore bottled drinks are manufactured in the City of Clearwater4and report the sanitary condition of same to the City Manager in writing,, who shall report same to the City Commission, and if it shall appear that any person, firm or corporation shall not have complied with this Ordinance, the City Commission, in its yy disoretion, may revoke the license of said business. SECTION IIZ. Any person, firm or corporation attempting to I' carry on the business mentioned in this Ordinance without first h '4s^•'fir'x.?'4? k. {rr3?„Y-i;,`s 'z?''9< w having obtained a -lioense as above mentioned in Section Il. shall be subject to a fine of not more than $200.00 or imprison- ment in the City Jail for not more than sixty days, or both, in the discretion of the Municipal Judge.
