CRDINANCE NO. 260
AN ORDINANCE of the City of Clearwater, Florida, to be entitled ,
"
AN ORDINANCE ACCEFTING AND CONFIhMING AN OFFICIAL HOUSE NUMBERING
i MAP FOU THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, AND REQUIRING THE NUMBER1NO OF
BUILT-INGS WITHIN THE CITY AS SET FORTH THE13EIN'I.
' BE IT OhDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSIONER OF THE CITY OF
C IEARIVATER , FLORIDA:

1. That the House Numbering Map known and designated as the "City
of Clearwater Official House Numbering Map for 19261}, on file in the off ice
of the City Building Inspector, be , and the some is hereby accepted and
confirmed as the official house numbering map for the City of Clear-
water,
2. That owners, occupants or agents of all buildings now ?
built or to be built in the futurflc within the corporate limits
of the City of Clearwater, shall be , and they are hereby required
to have the proper building numbers as set forth in the said map
displayed upon the said buildings; said numbers bung not less than
three inches in height, and in such locati6n as to be easily visible
E from the sidewalk abutting said building.
3. The City Building Inspector shall furnish, upon request
bf property owners, 6ocupents or agents, proper numbers for their
buildings, as shown upon the said official numbering map, and should {
the proper number be doubtful , the City Engineer shall be required
H to designate and fix the proper number of such property.
4. The owner, occupant or Agent of any building who shall
fail to comply with the provisions of this ordinance shall be J
deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction in the Municipal :
Court shall be punished by a fine not to exceeding twenty five
dollars, or by imprisonment in the City jail or at labor upon the

City streets or other public works not exceeding ten days, or both
such fine and imprisonment in the discretion of the Municipal Judge.
All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this
Ordinance are hereby repealed, and all Ordinances or parts of Ordin-
ances not in conflict with this Ordinance shall remain in full force
