' BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
CLEAMATER, FLORIDA.
There is hereby establishod a Public Recreation Board for ;t
t the City of Clearwater, consisting of five members who shall
serve without pay. The said Board shall have the power to
adopt by-laws, rules and regulations for the purpose.of conduct
ing a system of public recreation for the City.
It shall have the power to provide, establish, conduct and
maintain a system of public recreation and shall have the
supervision of all public play grounds, athletic field, bathing
beaches, swimming pools, golf courses, field houses and other
• '' '. recreational centers and activities on any of the properties

ovined or controled by the City, with the consent of the ormera
and authorities thereof.
The Public Recreation Board shall recommend to the City
Manager some suitable person especially 'trained and properly 4.
". " qualified for Superintondant of Public Recreation, and such
assistants as shall from time to time be necessary to carry out
the plans of the Recreation Board, and the City Manager shall,
employ a Superintendant of Recreation who shall devote his
entire time to the work, and who shall hold office during the
pleasure of the City Manager and receive such salary as shall
< be fixed by the City Commission. e

3 plans of the Public Recreation Board and shall have supervision

The Public Recreation Board shall be appointed by the Mayor

one (1) member shall be appointed for one. (1) year, one
(1) member for two (2) years, one (1) member for three (3)
years, one (1) member for (4) yours, raid one (1) member
for five (5) years,, and thereafter all members shall be
appointed for a term of five (5) years, In case of

vacancy in said Board the unexpired term shall be filled
by appointment, as provided herein. ;
The Board of Public Hecreation sliall make full sand
complete monthly aril annual reports to the City Commission,'
and shall make suoh other reports as the-City Commission
t
may from time to time require.
.. The City Manager shall, in his annual budget, estimate `
the necessary expenses for the maintenance of the recreation
system as provided herein.
All Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in conflict here-
with are hereby repealed. f

This Ordinance shall take effect upon, its passage and
being signed, as required by the Charter of the City.
