AN ORDINANCE OF THE CI'T'Y COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER
FLORIDA, TO BE ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE 'EXTENDING THE TERRITORIAL
LIMITS OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER$ FLORIDA".
• WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater, Florida, desires to change

its territorial limits by annexation of the unincorporated tracts of
land lying contihuous to the said City of Clearwater, and within the E
County of Pinellas , and
WHEREAS., there are more than ten (10) registered voters
residing in said territory so desired to he annexed.
NOW, TWMEFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE. CI!1Y COMMISSION ,
OF THE CITY OF C LEARWATER , FLORIDA:

West line of Ft. Harrison Avenue extended to the North boundary of
the Southwest quarter of the Southeast quarter of 'snid'Section 21,
thence East'to the Northeast corner of tho said Southwest quarter of
the Southeast quarter of said Section 21, thence South 1/4 of a mile
to the Bouth boundary of said Section 21, Township 29, South Range 15
East, thence East to the Southeast corner of Section 22. Township and
Range afore-said, thence North to the Northeast corner of said Section
22, thence East to the Southeast corner of Section 14, said Township
and Range, thence North to the Southeast corner of Section 2, sa&d
Township.and Range, thence West to the Southwest corner of said
Section 2, thence North to the Northwest corner of said Section 2,
thence West to the Northwest corner of Section 4, slid 'township and.
Range, said Northwest corner of Section 4 being-in the waters of
Clearwater Harbor, thence in a Northwesterly direction through the
waters of Clearwater Harbor and Big Pass to the intersection of the
low tide line of the Gulf of Mexico on the Northwest point of Clearw-
ater Key, thence West into the waters of the Gulf of Mexico to the
territorial limits of the State of Florida, thence Southerly alpng
said territorial limits through the waters of the Gulf of Mexico to a
point due West from the point of beginning, thence East to the point
of beginning".
Section 2: The City Commission does hereby declare its
intention to annex said tract of land to said city and to extend the
corporate limits of said city so as to embrace the whole and each and
every part of said territory, stLbject to the approval of the election t
herein provided.
Section 3: A Special.Election shall be held in the said
City and in said territory for the purpose of submitting to the
separate vote of the registered voters of said city and the registered
voters residing in said territory, the question of whether said
territoty shall be annexed to the said city Arld.the territorial limits
of said city shall be extended so as to embrace Bald' said territory.
Said election shall be held on the 12th day of November, 1924 and the
polling place at which the registered voters'of said city shall cast
their ballets in said election shall be the city hall in the City of

Clearwoter,'Floridat and the polling place at which the registered
voters residing in said territory shall. cast their ballots in,-said
election shall be in ftrry's_Store in said territory.
The polls shall be open at said polling places at 8:00
o'clock in the forenoon , or as soon after as practical, and closed
at sundown.

1924, and the corporate ?imits of said city in that event shall be and
are hereby extended so as to embrace said territory and each and every
part thereof; but if the majority of two thirds of said registered
voters actually voting in said election in said city and said territory
shell not be in favor of annexation of said territory then thia Ord'
inance shall thereupon be void and of no effect.
SECTION b: This Ordinance shall be published in the"Clearwater
Evening Sun" a newspaper of general circulation published in the said
city, once a week for four (4) conse6Ative weeks prior to the said
election.

with this Ordinance are hereby repealed ; and ell Ordinanes or parts
