ORDINANCE # 213 AN ORDINA72CE TO BE ENTITLED : AN- OIIDINA14CE FOll THE ISSUANCE OF BONDS BY THE CITY C21'' CLEARWATER , FLORIDA o TO PROVIDE FOR THE PAY- MENT OF SAID BONDS AND TO PRESCRIBE THE PURPOSES FCR WHICH THE MONEY r ' DERIVED FR CM TIIE SALE OF SAID BOLDS SHALL BE EXPENDED. BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF VRE CITY OF CLEARWATEf3: Section 1. That the City Commission of the City of clear- water, Florida, be , and they are authorized to borrow the sum of $20,000.00 to be used and expended for the following purpose, to-wit: The improvement of public park for the said City. That the said sum, if approved by the affirms tive vote of a majority of the qualified electors voting in the election to be held as herein provided shall be borrowed for a term of thirty years from .r ' the first day op June, 1923. And the said City Commissioners are here- by authorized to pay interest on the money so borrowed as aforesaid, semi-annually on the first day of June and on the first day of December i' of each and everyyear thereagter for the full period of thirty years r after the first day of June , 1923. f' Section 2, To secure the payment oC said sum to.be borrowed as aforesaid the City Commissioners shall issue twenty negotiable } coupon bond of said City in the denomonations of $1,000.00 each: each of said bonds shall be payable in gold coin of the United States of t America of current wee ight and fineness and shall be payable at the ' '. l{ r t ,I } Mechanics and Metals National Bank in the City of New York, State of New York.
