ORDINANCE NO. 206.
- AN ORDINANCE to be entitled an Ordinance for the-Issuence
of Bondm by the City of Clearwater, Florida, to Proscrtbe the
Amount of send Bonds, to Provide for the Payment of said Bonds,
and to Proscribe the purpose for which the Money Arising from
the sale of said Bonds shall be expended.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA:
SECTION ONE: The City of Clearwater, Florida, be, and it
is hereby outhorized'to borrow the several sums of money here-
inafter net forth, or such as may be approved as hereinafter
provided, said sums to be expended for the following purposes,

The Burn of Eighty-five Thousand ($8P4000?00),1)bl1ars,,to
i be expended and used for the purpose of street paving and storm
sewers-and the sum of Twenty-Five Thousand ($25y000:00). •Doollors t. " '.
for the installation and improvement of sanitary sewage.

purpose of paying the cyutstanding in-
debtedness of said City. '

used and expended for the purpose of enlarging and improving the
water works of said City.
The sum of Fifty- Thousand ($50,000,00) Dollars to be

used and expended for the purpose of building a City Hall and
municipal Building upon Lot 45 of Court Square Subdivision in
said City.
That the said several sums, if approved by the
affirmative vote of three-fifths of the qualified electors of `
said City voting in an election to be heldlas herein provided, '
or shch as shall be so approved, shall be borrowed for the '

SECTION TWO: To secure the payment of the said sums
to be borrowed as aforesaid, and as provided herein, the said

City shall issue a sufficient number of negotiable Coupon Bonds
of said-]City of the denominatidn of $1,000940 each. Each of said
Bonds shall be dated the 15th day of April,:-1922, and payable in
gold coin of the United States of America of current weight and
fineness, and shall be payable at such place or placers in the ?
' State of Florida, or the United States of America as may be
designated in said Bonds. To each of said Bonds shall be attached
interest coupons of such number and amount as shall be necessary

at the rate of 6% per annum, un IX the principal of said Bonds"
shall become due. Each of said, Bonds shall mature 30 yearal.from

SECTION THREE: The form of said Bonds not in conflict
with this Ordinance shall be approved by the City Council'. and
each of said Bonds shall be sealed with the corporate seal of ". i

said Bonds shall be signed in like manner as said Bonds or by
the fee-simile signature of the proper officers. E

SECTION SEVEN: The Mayor of said City shall call a
special election to be held in accordance with the laws and
Chanter or Orddnances of said City, in which said election `
only those persons-authorized by Charter of the City of Clear-
water to vote in bond election shall vote in said election,
`. at which election it shall be determined whether Bonds, as herein
mentioned, shall be issued for the several respective purposes {{{}
7 herein set forth, and in said election the electors of said City
shall vote separately upon the said proposed projects, except
they are voted, except end until after the said project for
which the sum shall have been voted shall have been completed.

SECTION SIX: A special tax shall be assessed, levied
and collected each year upon all property, Both real and personal,
subject to taxation within the corporate limits'of the City of
Clearwater for the purpose of paying the interest on said Bonds,
and an additional tax upon all such property of such amount as
shall be necessary, shall be assessed, levied and collected
for the purposeof providing a sinking fund for the payment
of said Bonds at their maturity. The said sinking fund shall
be deposited with the Bond.Truutee-and may be by them invested
as provided by the Charter of said City.
