An ordinance to be entitled "An ordinance Amending Section 105 of
the Official Code of the City of Clearwater, approved May 31st, A.D.19161
Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Clearwater,
Floridai
Section 1. That section No. 105 of the official Code of the
City of Clearwater, approved May 31st, A. D. 1916, be amendedso as
?. to read as follows:

the cost of paving or otherwise improving any street, as provided
in this
Article, apportioned and assessed to abutting property, be
not paid by the owners within thirty days after the completion of
such paving or improving of such street or streets, the City.,Council
shall issue interest-bearing improvement certificates against such
t,1 real estate liable for the cost of such improvements, which certi-
ficates shall bear interest at the rate of eight per cent per annum
F Y until paid, and when not otherwise specially provided by resolution
eh of the city Council., said certificates shall be payable and redeem-
:• able in ten equal, annual installments from the date thereof
PROVIDED that such certificates may be redeemed at an time before
maturity. The City shall have the power to hold and collect, sell

, hypothecate or put up as collatera],ni any or all improvement
certificates when issued, as the Council may direct, to borrow money
for the p urpose of paying for such improvements. All improvement
certificates shall constitute and be a lien upon the real estate

shall, be redeemed and fully satisfied, together with the accrued
interest.
Section 2: All ordinances, or parts of ordinances, that conflict
