THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE DITY OF CLEARWATER,
)ction 339 , of Article 1, of Chapter 9,
.the City of Clearwater, Florida be , and the
to read as follows , to wit;
When any animal is' impounded i- the Chief of Police, shall
immediately give notice by posting notices at at least three
prominent places in the City, which notices shall state the kind and
description of each and every animal impounded, and at the end of
three days after the posting of such notices , the Chief of Police
shall sell at auction all animals this impounded, and the proceeds or-
ising therefrom shall be turned over to the City Clerk; provided
that if within the three days, the owner, his agent , or attorney,
shall appear and pay to the Chief of Police Five dollars for each
animal so impounded for one day and an additional fee Of fifty cents
for each additional day, said animal shall be delivered over to the
said owner, his agent or attorney, and the said proceeds shall be
turned over to the City Clerk as above provided. The Chief of Police
shall take a receipt for all monies so turned over by him to the
City Clerk, and make his report in writing to the City Council at
its next regular meeting of such receipts and expenditures for the
keep of such live-stock so impounded.
