FUNDING BOND. Bo It Ordained By The Town Council Of The Town of Clearwater, Floridan Section 1. That the Town Cduncil of the Town of Clearwater, Florida, is authorized to issue negotiable coupon bonds of the Town of Clearwater, Florida, in the arum of Eleven thousand ($11,000) Dollars, And that the proceeds of such bonds shall be used for the funding of redeeming or paying-outstanding, floating, or unsecured indebtedness, as authorized. Section 2. That said bonds shall be numbered from ninety-- three (93) to one hundred and fourteen (114) both inclusive, and shall be in denomination of 0500.00 each; said bonds shall be dated the first day of November, 1914, and mature on the first day of November, 1944; shall bear interest at the rate of five (5 per cent.) per centum per annum, payable semi-annually on the first day of May and November, and shall have coupons attached for each installment of interest. Both pri.hci.pal. and interest of said bonds shall be made payable in gold coin of the United States of America, of the present standard of weight and fineness at the Mechanics and Metals National Bank, in the City of New York, New York. Section 3. That said bonds shall bear the certificate of validation of the Clerk of the Sixth Judicial Circuit in and for Pinellas County, State of Florida, and said bonds shall be in substantially the following form, vizs UNITED STATES Or AMERICA, STATE CF FLORIDA, PINELLAS COUNTY. NO. 0500.00 KNOW ALI, MEN BY THESE PRESENTS that the Town of Cloart 7t6r,' in the County of Pinellas, State of Florida, acknow-lodg6a;; MP, r L 19'7 itself indebted, and for value received hereby promisee to pay to bearer on the first day of November, A.D. 1944, tho principal sum of FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS (:500.00) together with , interest thereon from the date hereof until paid, at the rate of five (5 per cent) par contum per annum, payable se4d-annually on the first day of May and the first day of November, which interest to the data of maturity of the principal is evidenced by and payable upon presentation and surrender of the annexed interest coupons as they severeally become due. Both principal and interest of this bond are payable in gold coin of the United States of America of current weight and fineness at 1 1 the Mechanics and Metals National Hank, Now York City, New York. 1 And for the prompt payment of the principal and interest I of this bond as same respectively becomes dtte, the FULL, FAITH, CREDIT and RESOURCES of the said town are hereby irrevocably pledged. THIS BOND is issued by the Town of Clearwater for the purpose of providing funds for funds for funding purposes in ' the said Town, and is issued pursuant to the authority contained - 3 in Section 9, Chapter 6046, Laws of Florida, 1909, and has been duly authorized by a favorable vote at an election duly and legally called and held for that purpose and by resolutions, ordinances and proceedings of the Town Cduncil of said Town duly passed, approved, and adopted. AND IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED AND RECITED that all conditions, ' acts and things required by the Constitution and the Laws of ' r. the State of Florida to exist, happen and be performed precedent r to and in the issuance of this bond have existed, happened and been performed in regular and due form, time and manner as required by lave; and that the amount of this bond, together with all other indebtedness of said town does not exceed any Constitutional or statutory limitation. .. DAY OF OCTOBER, A. D. 1914. W. 0. Wiecking. Clerk of the Circuit Court of the Sixth Judicial Circuit, in and for Pinellas County, State of Florida. Section 4. That a special tax of Five Hundred & Fifty ($550.00) Dollars, shall be assessed, levied and collected each year upon-all property, both real and personal, subject to taxation with the limits of the said Town of Clearwater, for the payment of the interest upon the bonds, and in addition to the tax for the payment of the interest as aforesaid on said bonds, a further tax of such amount as the Town Council of said Town shall doom proper and necessary shall.be assessed, levied and collected upon the real and personal in said Town subject to-taxation, for the purpose of providing a sinking fund for payment of said bonds at their maturity. The said sinking fund so raised shall be-invested in State and-County Bonds., ...or outstanding bonds of the Town of Clearwater, or first 1 class improved real estate mortgaggs carrying insurance for full amount of loan. Seotion, 8. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby,repealed insofar as they conflict.
