An Ordinanco To Be Entitled, An Ordinance To Provide For
The Issuance of Drainage Bonds of The Town of Clearwater, In
The Sum Of Five Thousand ($4000) Dollara, In Accordance
With The Vote Of TUo E.laotoxn Of Said Town At The Election
Hold on The Sixth Day of October, 1914.
Be It Ordained By The Town Council of The Town Of Clearwater,
Floridat
Section 1. That the Town Council of the Town of Clearwater,
Florida, is authorized to issue negotiable coupon bonds of the
Town of Clearwater, Florida, in the sum of Five Thousand
($6,000) Dollars, and that the proceeds of such bonds,shall
be used for drainage purposes, as authorized.
Section 2. That said bonds shall be numbered from Eighty-
three (83) to Ninety-two (92) both inclusive, and shall be in

denomination df 0500 each; siid bonds shall be dated the
first day of November, 1914 and mature on the first day of
Hovember, 1944; shall bear interest at the ratio of fire (5%)
per oentum per annum, payable semi-annually on the first day
of May and November, and shall have coupons attached for
each installment of interest. Both principal and interest of
said bonds shall be wade payable in gold coin of the United
States of America, of the present standard of weight and
finene a t the Mechanic9 arui Ns%tals National Bank in the

City of New York, New York. ? .
Section 3. That said bonds shall bear the certificate of
validation of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of the Sixth
Judicial Circuit in and for Pinellas County, State of Florida,
and 'said bonds shell be in substantially the following, form,viz; . ot.;

in thoCounty of Pinellas County, State of Florida, acknowledges
itself indebted, and for value received hereby promises to pay
to bearer on the first day of November, A.D. 1944, tho
principal sum of FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($500.00), togetbLor
with interest thereon from the date hereof until pdid, at
the 'rato of Five (5%) percentum per annum, payable semi-
annually on the first day of May and the first day of November,
which interest to the date of maturity.of the principal is
evidenced by and payable upon presentation and surrender of
the annexed interest coupons as they severally become due.
Both principal and intdrest of this bond are payable in gold
coin of the United 'States of America of current weight and
fineness at the Mechanics and Msthls National Bank, New York
City, New York.
And for the prompt payment of the principal and interest
of this bond as same respectively become due, they FULL FAITH,
CREDIT AND RESOURCES of the said Town are hereby irrevocably
pledged. `
THIS BOND is issued by the Town of Clearwater for the
purpose of providing funds for dKainage purposes in the said
Town, and is issued pursuant to the authority contained in
Section 9, Chapter 6046, Laws of Florida, 1909, and has beerAuly
authorized by a favorable vote at an election duly and le.;.lly

called and held for that purpose, and by resolution, ordinances
and proceedings of the Town Council of said town duly passed,
approved and adopted.
AND IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED AND RECITED that all conditions,
acts and things required by the Constitution and the laws of the

State of Florida to exist, happen and be performed presedent
to and in the issuance of this bond have existed, happened
and been performed in regular and due form, time and manner as
i
required by law; and the amount of this bond, together with
all other indebtedness of said Town, does not exceed hny
Constitutional or statuory limitation.

Section 4. That a special tax of Two Hundred and Fifty
(4250) Dollars shall, be assessed, levied and collected each
year upon all property, both real and personal, subject to
taxation within the Limits of the said Town of Clearwater,
for the payment of the interest upon the bonds, and in addition
to the tax for the payment of the interest as aforesaid on
said bonds, a further tax of such amount as, the Town Council
of said Town shall deem proper and necessary shall be assessed,
levied and collected upon the real and personal property in said
Toirn.'., subject to taxation, for'the purpose of providing a
sinking fund for payu,ent of said bonds, at their maturity.
