An ordinance Entitled, "An Ordir,anoe to License Shows, Carni-
vals, Exhibitions and Other Fornis of Amusement and L' itertairiment."

Be it Ordained by the Town Council of the Town of
Clearwater, Florida:
Suction 1. That no person, firm or corporation, nor
the agent, servant or employee of such, shall give any show,
performance or exhibition of any kind whatsoever for profit, or .-
operate any merry-go-round or any other amusement device wi.thout..°.
having-first paid the license as provided for by the ordinances'' ' .. .. '', .' :
of the Town of Clearwater. r
Section 2. All theatrical or oporatic troupes or
companies playing in the Town in any place except in a
licenses theatre, shall pay a license tax of Ten Dollars "
($10.00) for each day. All minstrel shows and similar shows.,_.,
and similar shone, playing or performing in any place other
than in a licensed theatre, shall pay a license tax of
Seventy-five Dollars ($75-00) for each day. Merry-go-.rounds,
ocean naves, or similar devices, shall pay a license tax of '
One Hundred Dollars($100.00) for each and every day operated.
All carnivals shall pay a license tax of One Hundred Dollars '
per day. All circuses giving street parade shall pay u I
license tax of Fifty Dollars 050.00) per day; without street

neglect or refuse to secure a license as herein provided, t
f before giving any such show or operating any such mechanical
amusement device as herein provided, shall, upon trial and
conviction thaieof, be fined not exceeding Vio Hundred
dollars (;200.00) or imprisoned in the Town Jail, or at
labor on the streets or other public works of the Town
not exceeding ninety days, or by both such fine and im-
prisonment,, at the discretion of the Mayor. r` , - ;" ?; • ° '
Section 5. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
Conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
