ORDINANCE NO 126
AN ORDINANCE-to be entitled an Ordinance to provide for
ithe issuing of Bonds by the Town of Clearwater, Florida, to
i
;provide for the payment of said Bonds and to prescribe the pur-
poso for which the money arising from the sale of such bonds shall
"ibe expended.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL Or' THE TOWN OF CLEARWAVER
i YLORIDA.

Section 1. That the Town Council of the Town of Clearwater,
Florida, be and it is hereby authorized to borrow the sum of
seventy-five thousand dollars($75,000.) or such part thereof
as shall be approved by affirmative vote as herein after mentioned,
to be used and expended as follows, to-wit:
The sum of Fifteen Thousand Dollars (#15000) to be used and
expended in paving the streets of said Town with vitrified brick,
asphalt macadam or other material: the sum of Eleven Thousand
Dollars (111000) to be used and expended for; thd.:purpose of
redeeming or pa7Xing the floating out-standing or unsecured
indebtedness of said Town, the sum of Eighteen Thousand dollars
(18000.00) to be used and expended in the extension of alterZiations
of the sewer system of said Town: and the sum of five Thousand
dollars ($5000.00) to be used and expended in the drainage of
said Town: and the sum of Eight Thousand dollars ($8000.00) to be
used and expended in the extension or improvement of the water
work system of said Town: and the sum of Three Thousand dollars
($3000.00) to be used and expended in the purchase or improvement,
` of the Public Parks for said Town : and the sun of Fifteen j
Thousand Dollars, ($15000.00) for the purchase of Water front I
Property aind- Improvements, and that sum of money first 'aforesaid
' or such portion thereof as shall be approved by the affirmative vote

years after the said first day of November, A. D. 1914.
Section 2. That to secure the payment of the said sum
to be borrowed aforesaid as provided heroin, the said Town

;Council shall issue one hundred and fifty negotiable coupon
;Bonds of the said Town, or so many of said coupon Bonds as shall
,be necessary to secure the payment of the sum of money to be

!borrowed as herein provided, of the denomination of five hundred
idoll.ars each, said Bonds shall be payable in gold coin of the
!United States of America of current weight and fineness, and shall
I lbe payable at Duch place or places in the State of Florida4 or
j otherwise, as may be designated in said Bonds. To each of said

Bonds shall be attached interest coupons of such numbers and amount
as shall be necessary to pay the interest semi-annually on the
principal sum ofeach of said bonds at the rate of five(5) per annum
f
until the principal of said bonds shall be-come due. And said Bonds
z
shall each mature thirty years from the first day of November, A. D.
1914. The interest coupons attached to said bonds when due shall
be receivable by the Torn of Clearwater, Florida, for all taxes or
indebtedness due to said town of every kind whatsoever.
Section 3. The form of said Bonds not in conflict with this
ordinance shall be approved by the said Town Council, and
each of said bonds shall be sealed with the seal of the said Town
of Clearwater, and signed by the Mayor and attested by the Town
Clerk thereof. The interest coupons attached to said Bonds shall
have engraved or l.itgographed thereon the names of the said
Mayor and the said Town. Clerk.
Section 4• When said Bonds shall have been issued as herein
provided, the same shall be delivered to the Town Council for
dispositions And the said Town Council is hereby authorised to
sell said bonder at either public or private sale for tho beat
price obtainable therofor. And the proceeds arising from the
sale of said bonds shall be deposited with the Bond Trustee3
of said Town, and shall be used only for the purposes herein expressed

Section 6e That a Special, tax shall be assessed, levied, and

' Section 7. The Mayor of the Town of Clearwater shall call a

participated in only by the registered voters of
said town who own real estate therein, the title to which is
?reoorded in the public records of Pinellas or Hillsborough County,
to determine whether the bands herein mentioned shall be issued.
Said-election shall, be held on the 6th day of October A. D. 1914 !
at which the q uesti,on of whether bonds to the amount and for the d

: town of Clearwater shall be submitted to the electors of the said

Section 10. That the Town Council of said torn',sha11 on the
29th day of September, 1914, meet for the purpose of revising the
registration list of said town in accordance with the ordinance
and laws of said town.
Section 11. For the purpose of conducting and holding said :
election the following named persons be and they are hereby
appointed inspectors, to-wit: J. M. Barco, J. E. Mdri_dge,
