An Ordinance to be Entitled an Ordinance to provide
for the Issuing of Bonds by the Town of Clearwater, Flori(la., to
Provide for the Paymont of said Bonds and to Proscribe the Purpose
for which the Money Arising froi;u the Sale of Such Bonds shall be
Expended.

Section 1- That the Torn Council of the Town of
Clearwater, Florida, be and it is hereby authorized to borrow
the sum of Fifty Thousand (1.150,000.00) • Dollars, to be used and
expended as follows, to-exit:
Ttihe sum of Ten Thousand 010,000) Dollars for the
construction of a concrete pier at the foot of Cleveland Street
in the said Town of Clearwater, Florida, the stun of Eighteen
Thousand (alO.000) Dollars to be used and expended in paving the
streets' of said Town with vitrified brick, asphalt macadam or
other material; the sum of Five Thousand (;x5,000.00) Dollars.
to be used and expended for the purpose of redeeming or. paying
the floating outstanding or unsecured indobtedness of said Tovm;
the stun of Ten Thousand (.;?10,000) Dollars to be used and
expended in the extention or alteration of the sever system of
said'To,n and the soon of Five Thousand (,, 5OAOO) Dollars to be
used and expended toward the purchase of a central park for said
torn; and the sum of Two Thousand, ($2,000) Dollars to ' be used
and expended in improving Island Parr and other Parks of the Town
of Clearwater. That the first aforesaid sum shall be borrowed for
the.period of thirty years frown the lst day of January A. D. 1914,
and, that the said Town Council is hereby authorized to pay interest
on said first aforenai.d sum of money at the rate of five per
centum per annum, p:Lyable sami.-annually on the let day of Julz
and January of each and every yoar, hereafter for the full period

Section 2- That to socure the paymont of the sum
herein first foresaid to be borroviod as provided herein, the
said Town Council shall issue One Ikuzdred (100) nogotiablo
coupon bonds, of the said torm, of the donomination of five
hundred dollars (N¢500.00) each. Said bonds shall be payable I
in gold coin of the United States of At;iorica of Current weight

Section G- 'rho Said 's'own Council ahall have full
control., management and direction. over the construction,
! maintenance and use of the pier which may bet constructed and
the streets which may be paved and the sewer system which may be
errected, changed or extended, and the park which may be bought,
built, Laid out or prepared under the provisions of this
i ordinance.
Section 6- That a special tax shall be assessed, ,'. •.•
levied and collected each year upon all property, both real and
personal, subject to taxation within the limits of the said town
of Clearwater, for the payment of the interest upon the bonds;
' in addition to the tax for the payment of the interest as afore-
said on said bonds, a further tai: of such amount as to the Town

assessed, levied and collected upon the zeal and personal
property in said town, subject to taxation, for the purpose of f.'

Section 8- If a majority of the votes cast at the
said election shall be in favor of issuing bonds, then it shall
be the duty of the said Town Council to issue said bonds in
accordance with this ordinance; but if a majority of said votes
cast at said election shall be against issuing bonds, then this
ordinance shall be of no effect and no bonds shall be issued.
Section 9- That the Town Clerk of said Town, as re-
gistration officer shall duly open the registration books of said
tovin, for. the purpose of allowing those persons qualified as

Section 10- That the Town Council of said Town shall
on the 18th day of November, 1913, meet for the purpose of
revising the registration list of said town in accordance with
the ordinance and laves of said town.
Section 11-- For the purpose of conducting and holding
said election the following named persons be and they are hereby„
and
appointed enspectors, to-wit: C. A. Tyner, James M.Barco,Als H.
Gambardt and T. J. Sheridan, be and are hereby appointed clerk
of said election.
Section 12- That the polling place at which the
voters of said election shall cast their ballots shallbe the
Town Hall of said t ovm .
Section 13- All ordinances or part of ordinances in
conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Passed by the Town Council of the Town of Clearwater,
