ORDINANCE NO, 113.
An Ordinance of the Torun of Clearwater, amending
Section 61, 63 and 66 of Ordinance Number 104 of the
ordinances of the 'own of Clearwater, Florida,
Be it Ordained by the Town Council of the Town of
Clearwater, Florida.
FIRST.. that Section 61 op the Ordinnnee Number 104 of
the Town of Clearwater, Florida,be amended co aa;.bo read ;

SECTION 61, Immediately upon the completion of such
' 1. sidenik -all of the cost of the building of such walk
shall be proportioned equally against all real estate
abutting on such walks and shall be a lien upon said ;,..
real estate, and the same shall be aollected under the
lien laws of the State of Florida, provic3ed,however, that
if such costsr.eppottinndd to the abutting real estate
shall not be paid within thirty days of the completion
of such walk the Town Council shall issue interest bearing
paving certificates against such'real estate lieble'for ; '`
's such costs of paving, which paving certificates shall
bear interest at the rate of eight per cent per annum t, .
` until paid, and shall be redeemable in three equal in-':
s tallments in one, two and three years from the date
• ' . "= thereof; which certificate the 't'own shall hold and
collect, sell or transfer, hypothecate or put up as
collateral to borrow money as the Town Council may direct, ., f
and which said certificates shall constitute and be'made'
o lien upon the snid abutting real estate, until such
certificates shall be redeemed and fully satisfied.
SECOND- That section 63 of Ordinance Number 104 of the
sown of Clearwater Florida be amended so as to read as '

SECTION 63. It dhall be the duty of the owners of real
estate within the corporate limits of the Town of Clear-

water to construct uniform, substantial sidewalks around f
their several lots or property in accordance with the
provisions of this Chapter, and to keep the some in good
repair and upon failure to do the some, within the time and !
ith-b manner hereinbef ore provided the council may have the c,

some done, all the cost of which shall be a lien against
such Iot:;or;-lots which may be enDbreed in the manner j
provided in the general laws of the State of Florida.
THIRD- That Section 66 of the ordinance Number 104 of -
the Town of Clearwater, Florida, be amended so as to read
as follows:
SECTION 66, That whenever the Town Council shall order ^~;• ;.:';, .';f .
sidewalks to be built or repaired and it shall be made
to appear to them that notice has been iven as is
required by Section 64 & 65 of this Chapter, to the abutting
property owners or their.agents or that notice has been

posted as required in said Secticns, that the'ovmers have
failed or neglected to repair or build the samewithin the
time required under the said Sections, they shall direct y
the Street- Committee to have the said sidewalk built
or

Florida: Provided that no property owner shall let any
contract for the repairing or constructing of sidewalks
without first submitting 'Une contract to the Town Council :.
and obtaining their approval.
FOUIRTH- All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance are here-
by repealed.
