OR HIS C:0,dPzJSjiTI0,4. ifs IT ORDAINED BY THE City Council of the Town of Clearwater: SECTIOI4 1. The Mayor OF the Town of Clearwater by and with the consent of the City Council shall appoint some suitable person to be known as Water and Plumbing Inspector-of the Town of Clearwater, that said person shall have had not less than ono yeardmporionco a ih the plumbing trade or business, and he shall give a bond in the sum of $500.00 payable to the Town of Clearwater for the faithful performance of his duties, and shall perform such duties as are hereinafter provided, and shall receive as compensation for his services all money collected by him under ;., the provisions of this ordinance, with the exception of fines imposed for violation of the provisions hereof. SECTION 2. It shall be the duty of the Water and Plumbing Inspector to see that all of the provisions of Ordinance No. 84 of the Town of Cl.oarwator entitled "An Ordinance entitled E an ordinance to compel abutting prmperty owners to connect ` premises with sewerage system of the Town of Clearwater, to regulate such connections, and to regulate plumbing work and plumbing equipment, pipes and fixtures, of all buildings connected with the sewerage system of the Town of Clearwater, and to provide p enalties for violations of provisions of ordinance" and Ordinance No. 84 of the Town of Clearwater entitled "An ordinance entitled an ordinance to prescribe rates and charges for water furnished by the Town of Clearwater to any and all persons, firms and corporation thereof, and to provide for the payment of such water rates and charges, are oomplied with and comformed to and .'• to promptly report all violations thereof. of the Torn Marshall or Chief of Police of the Town of Clearwater. There shall be charged and collected by the Water l ' and Plumbing Inspector an inspection fee for all now, old, or remodelled plumbing inspected by him in the Town of Clearwater. i rE?1','` ?ri!'•'z.'_' .r Kati , ._ _?:iy.ES :'>•-tip . .. .... * ::'f??''#:= .:at,. _ The fee shall be gl.90 for the first fixture or waste opem,ing and Twenty-five cents for eacn additional one. The said feo shall be paid by the person, firm or corporation owning the property on which the inspection is made. SECTION 4, The Water and Plumbing Inspector of the Town of Clearwater is to be the judge of the duality of the material used and the workmanship performed on all plumbing hereafter installed and set up in the Town of Clearwater. The Water and Plumbing Inspector shall, have the privilege of at any time entering and Inspecting the plumbing and drainage on any premises, and if same are found in an unsanitary condition, he shall order same to be altered to conform with the provisions of Ordinance No, 84. entitled "An ordinance entitled an ordinance to compel abutting pro- perty owners to connect premises with sewerage system of the Town of Clearwater, to regulate such connections, and regulate plumbing work and plumbing equipment, pipes, and fixtures or all buildings connected with the sewerage system of the Town of Clearwater, and to provide penalties for violations of provisions of ordinance, Wand anv person, first or corporation failing or refusing to make such alterations for the period of fifteen days after such notice, shall be deemed guilty of a violation of this ordinance and punished as hereinafter prescribed. Where it is desired to co=ect old plumbing with the Town sewers, the plumber contemplating doing such work shall notify the Water and Plumbing Inspector, whose duty it will be to inspect such plumbing and notify the plumber what alterations will be necdysary to place the same in an acceptable condition for connection with the town sewer. All plumbing work shall be exe- cuted in a thorough and workmanlike manner, Now [a 4 --3-_ ,, 64 SECTION b. When work is ready for inspection a notice must be sent to the water and Plumbing inspector and all work shall be left uncovered until inspected and approved. All plumbing work in buildings shall by tested by the plumber in the presence of the Water and Plumbing Inspector by the water or smoke twat, as he may deem beat under the circumstances and to his satis- faction; and when the work does not stand the test prescribed, connection with the town sewer will not be.permitted. on all old work where it would be inconvenient to applTg the water test; the smoke test will be sufficient, for the application of which the Water and Plumbing Inspector shall receive a fee of $2.00 in.addition to the regular inapection"feos, fdr each job tested SECTION 6. Where it is desired to use old sewers to connect with the town sewer, they must be uncovered for inspection and . if found to be in bad condition, their use will not be permitted. SECTION 7. Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the'provisicns of this ordinance shall be punished by fine not f; exceeding $200.00 or by imprisonment in the frail. of the Town of Clearwater for the period not exceeding sixty days. t - R.
