60 • • ORDINANCE NO 60. i An ordinance„entitled an ordinance to provide for the issuance of building permits and to regulate the use of sidewalks and and streets for building purposearA1 i to prohibit the improper use of the streets, alleys and sidewalks, and to provide punishment for violation of the some. Be it ordained by the town council of the town of Clear- water, Florida:- t Sec. 1. It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to place in any street or alley or upon any sidewalk any lumbar, iron coal' truck bale box crate cask package, building material., rubbish or anything whatsoever, and suffer the some. 11 our to remain in such position for more than one-half/after notice by the morshall or police officer of the town to remove the + ? same; provided: however, that whenever any person shall desire to put up a building or to repair any building, and shall - desird to use any part of the street, alley or sidewalk for ' lacin thereon an buildin material he shall be p g Y B , permitted so t i to do under the following conditions: He shall first make v ,..... + ;- application to the Mayor, who shall grant permits for the occupation for use for building purposes, of such portion of the streets or sidewalk, not to exceed one-half of the width of the street adjacent to such building, as the owner or owners of such comtemploted building shall make application for, and for a period of time not to exceed three months, unless such time is extended by the town council, upon application for the same, made by tho owner or owners of such eomtemplated building. That no part of the street or sidewalk other than that mentioned in said permit shall be used' for depositing building materials ` .'' -•" or rubbish arising from such work. Sec. 2- It aj?all be unlawful. for any person, firm or corporation to erect, repair, change or altar any building or structure within that part of the town of Clearwater, bounded on the viest by Osceola L;trect on the east by the Atlantic Coast Line railroad, on the north by a line parallel and coinciding with the north line of Luray Street and on the south xty aline ' parallel and 'coinciding with the south line of Park avenue, . without first having-complied with the following conditions, to-writ: lie or they shall make written application to the town " Council for a permit for that purpose, and shall file with the i •'. ° .? town clerk at the time of making such application a written statement giving the location, dimensions, manner of o:onstructi.on l and the material to be used in the proposed building, structure ? ' SEC. 3. Sec. 5. Any peron or persons guilty of a violation of any of ' the provisions of this ordinance shall., upon conviction, be ?.1 ?. punished by a fine not exceeding one hund?'ed d-bllars, or by # imprisonment in the town jail or at work upon the streets or ' public works of the town not exceeding ninety clays, or both' at i!
