AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
AMENDING SUBSECTION (6) OF CHAPTER 22, OF THE CODE
OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
1962, RELATING TO PROHIBITED PARKING AND ADDING A
NEW SECTION TO PERMIT PARKING WITHIN 20 FEET OF AN
INTERSECTION WHERE THE TRAFFIC ENGINEER HAS
POSTED SIGNS OR INSTALLED METERS; PROVIDING FOR
REPEAL OF ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH; PROVIDING FOR THE SEPARABILITY
OF THE PROVISIONS HEREOF; PROVIDING FOR PROPER
NOTICE OF PROPOSED ENACTMENT AND PROVIDING FOR
EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. That Subsection (6) of Section ZZ-101 of Chapter Z2,
Parking Prohibited in Certain Places Generally, of the Code of Ordinances of
the City of Clearwater, Florida, 1962, is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 22-101. Parking Prohibited in Certain Places Generally.
(6) Parkin is prohibited, ML within 20 feet of a crosswalk at
an intersection except as provided in Section 2Z-108. 1.
Section Z. That Section 22-108. 1 of Chapter ZZ, Parking Permitted
in Certain Places, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Clearwater, 196Z,
is hereby enacted to read as follows:
Section ZZ-108. 1 Parkin Permitted in Certain Places.
Parkin shall be ermitted within 20 feet of an intersection
or a crosswalk where the traffic engineer of the City of

Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are to the extent of such conflict hereby repealed.
Section 4. Should any part or provision of this ordinance be declared
by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, the same shall not affect
the validity of the ordinance as a whole, or any part thereof, other than
the part to be declared invalid.
Section 5. Notice of the proposed enactment of this ordinance has
been properly advertised in a newspaper of general circulation in accordance
with Section 166.041, Florida Statutes.
