ORDINANCE NO. 2011
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
ANNEXING A PORTION OF LOT 2, MOSELL ACRES SUB-
DIVISION, PINELLAS COUNTY, FLORIDA, INTO THE
CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA, AND REDEFINING THE BOUNDARY LINES OF
THE CITY TO INCLUDE SAID ADDITION ACCORDING TO
THE PROVISIONS OF THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF
CLEAR WATER, FLORIDA, AND THE LAWS OF FLORIDA;
AFTER PROPER PUBLIC NOTICE AND PUBLIC HEARING
THEREON, ESTABLISHING THE FIRE DISTRICT CLASSI-
FICATION FOR SAID PROPERTY; PROVIDING FOR PROPER
NOTICE OF PROPOSED ENACTMENT; AND PROVIDING FOR
THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
received a sworn petition from David E. Edmunds and Jim Johnson requesting
the City to annex certain parcels of real estate described hereinafter, owned
by them, into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission, after due consideration of said
request for annexation, at a regular meeting held on July 5, 1979, voted
unanimously to accept said request and authorized the proper officials to
set up a public hearing thereon for the determination and establishing of
fire district classifications and to prepare an ordinance to annex said parcels
of real estate into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater in accordance
with the provisions of Chapter 171, Florida Statutes; and
WHEREAS, on August lb, 1979, the City Commission of the City
of Clearwater, after proper public notice, held a public hearing for the
determination and establishment of fire district classification for said
real property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section I. After its evaluation of all evidence presented at a proper
public hearing, the City of Clearwater, acting by and through its City
Commission, by the authority and under the provisions of Section 171. 044,
Florida Statutes, hereby annexes into the corporate limits of the City of
Clearwater, Florida, and redefines the boundary lines of said City so as

County, Florida, and establish fire district classifications therefor:
A, portion of Lot 2, Mosell Acres as recorded in Plat Book
24, page 70 of the Public Recordn of Pinellas County, Florida,
being more particularly described as follows: From the North-
easterly corner of said Lot 2 as a point of reference, thence
S 161007126" E, along the Easterly line of said Lot 2, 175.00
feet for a P. 0. B.; thence continue S 36'07126" E, 150.00 feet;
thence leaving said line S S3'5213411 W, 50. 00 feet; thence
N 36007126' W, 150.00 feet; thence N 53'5213411 E, 50.00 feet
to the P. O. B.
AND
A portion of Lot 2, Mosell Acres as recorded in Plat Book
24, page 70 of the Public Records of Pinellas County, Florida,
being more particularly described as follows: From the North-
easterly corner of said Lot 2 as a point of reference, thence
S 36'07126" E, along the Easterly line of said. Lot 2, 175.00 feet;
thence leaving said line, S 53°52'34" W, 50.00 feet for P. O, B.;
thence S 36°07'26" E, 150.00 feet; thence S 53'52134" W, 50.00
feet; thence N 36'07126" W, 150.00 feet; thence N 53'5213411 E,
50.00 feet to P. O. B.
The above described property is hereby designated Fire
District No. 1.
Section 2. The City Commission hereby formally and according to
law, accepts the dedication of all easements, streets, parks, plazas, places,
rights-of-way and other dedications to the public which have heretofore been
made by plat, deed or user within the areas so annexed.
Section 3. The City Engineer, the City Clerk and the Planning
Director are directed to include and set out and show upon the official maps
and records of the City of Clearwater the foregoing property and the fire
district classification therefor.
Section 4. This ordinance and notice of the proposed enactment of
same has been properly advertised in a newspaper of general circulation in
accordance with Section 166.041, Florida Statutes, and Section 171. 044,
Florida Statutes.
Section S. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon
its passage and enrollment in the City of Clearwater Ordinance Book and

a copy thereof being filed in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of
Pinellas County, Florida. In accordance with Section 171.091, and Section
171.044, Florida Statutes, a certified copy shall be filed with the Department
