WHEREAS

received a sworn petition from A. L. Shoemaker, City Manager of the City
of Clearwater, requesting the City to annex a certain parcel of real estate
described hereinafter, owned by it, into the corporate limits of the City of
Clearwater, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission, after due consideration of said
request for annexation, at a regular meeting held on June 7, 1979, voted
unanimously to accept said request and authorized the proper officials to
set up a public hearing thereon for the determination and establishing of
fire district classification and to prepare an ordinance to annex said parcel
of real estate into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater in accordance
with the provisions of Chapter 171, Florida Statutes; and
WHEREAS, on July 5, 1979, the City Commission of the City of
Clearwater, after proper public notice, held a public hearing for the
determination and establishment of fire district classification, for said
real property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA;
Section 1. After its evaluation of all evidence presented at a proper
public hearing, the City of Clearwater, acting by and through its City
Commission, by the authority and under the provisions of Section 171. 044,
Florida Statutes, hereby annexes into the corporate limits of the City of

Clearwater, Florida, and redefines the boundary lines of said City so as
..to include the following described parcel of real property in Pinellas
County, Florida, and establishes fire district classification therefor:
From the East 1/4 corner of Section 20, Township
28 South, Range 16 East go S 89'541581t W. along the
East-West centerline of said Section 20, 60 feet to the
P. O. B. ; thence continue S 89'54' 5811 W, along said
East-West centerline, 1441.49 feet to a point on a
curve; thence along the arc of a curve to the right,
radius 950.00 feet, arc 729.53 feet, chord bearing
N 60'0712811 E, chord 711.74 feet, to a point of reverse
curve; thence along the arc of a curve to the left, radius
1050 feet, arc 250. 36 feet, chord bearing N 75"1713511 E,
249.77 feet; thence S 19°2111611 E, 240.80 feet to a point
of curve; thence along the arc of a curve to the left, radius
210. 00 feet, arc 232. 32 feet, chord bearing S 51 °02148" E,
chord 220.65 feet, to a point of tangency; thence S 82°441
20" E, 316.31 feet; thence N 89°54'5811 E, 17.60 feet; thence
S 00 ° 04' 24" W, 10. 00 feet to the P. O. B.
AND
The North 1/2 of the NE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 and the N 3/4
of the S 1/2 of the NE 1/4 of the SE 1 /4 of Section 20,
Township 28 South, Range 16 East, less and except the
East 60 feet.
The above described property is hereby designated Fire
District No. 1.
Section 2. The City Commission hereby formally and according to
law, accepts the dedication of all easements, streets, parks, plazas, places,
rights-of-way and other dedications to the public which have heretofore been
made by plat, deed or user within the areas so annexed.
Section 3. The City Engineer, the City Clerk and the Planning
Director are directed to include and set out and show upon the official maps
and records of the City of Clearwater the foregoing property and the fire
district classification therefor.
Section 4. This ordinance and notice of the proposed enactment of
same has been properly advertised in a newspaper of general circulation in
accordance with Section 166.041, Florida Statutes, and Section 171.044,
Florida Statutes.

Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon
its passage anti enrollment in the City of Clearwater Ordinance Book and
a copy thereof being filed in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of
Pinellas County, Florida. In accordance with Section 17x.091, and Section
171.044, Florida Statutes, a certified copy shall be filed with the Department
of State of the State of Florida,

Section 2. The City Commission hereby formally and according to
law, accepts the dedication of all easements, streets, parks, plazas, places,
rights-of-way and other dedications to the public which have heretofore been
made by plat, deed or user within the areas so annexed.
Section 3. The City Engineez, the City Clerk and the Planning
Director are directed to include and set out and show upon the official maps
and records of the City of Clearwater the foregoing property and the fire
district classification therefor.
Section 4. This ordinance and notice of the proposed enactment of
same has been properly advertised in a newspaper of general circulation in
accordance with Section 166.041, Florida Statutes, and Section 172. 044,
Florida Statutes.

Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon

its passage and enrollment iii the City of Clearwater Ordinance Book and
a copy thereof being filed in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of

1710'044, Florida Statutes, a certified copy shall be filed with the Department
of State of the State of Florida.
