AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
VACATING CERTAIN RIGHT-OF-WAY IN SCOTIA HEIGHTS y= ' '° N
SUBDIVISION, PINELLAS COUNTY, FLORIDA; PROVIDING p.,
FOR PROPER NOTICE OF PROPOSED ENACTMENT; AND
PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, it has been requested by W. B. Wilkes and Irene Jordan,
owners of certain real property in Scotia Heights Subdivision, in the City ?. r.• j ;•..,;.:;..:t.
of Clearwater, Florida, that the City of Clearwater, Florida, vacate

certain right-of-way; and
WHEREAS after proper public notice and public hearing thereon, 'i S 4L
the City Commission finds that said right-of-way is not necessary nor required
for municipal use and it is deemed to be to the best interest and advantage
of the City and the general public that the same be vacated;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA;
Section 1. That the following:
Howard Street (formerly Scott Street) as recorded in
Scotia Heights, Plat Book 10, page 10 of the Public Records
of Pinellas County, Florida, less the East 7 feet and less that
portion lying within 50 feet of the following described point:
A point lying on a line 10 feet West of and parallel to, the West
line of the East 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of Section 23,
Township 29 South, Range 15 East, said point lying 40 feet
North of the Westerly prolongation of the South right-of-way
line of said Howard Street,
be and the same is hereby tiva.cated, closed and released, and the City of
Clearwater hereby quit claims and releases all of its right, title and
interest thereto to the persons, firms or corporations entitled thereto by
law, excepting that the City of Clearwater hereby retains a 20 foot drainage
and utility easement, lying 10 feet on either side of the centerline of said
described Howard Street, for the installation and maintenance of any and
all public utilities thereon.
Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to record this
ordinance in the Public Records of Pinellas County, Florida.-
