".e. ..$ ORDINANCE NO. 1890 '!`F' - -, AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, 'rt REPEALING SECTION 25 OF CHAPTER 9710, SPECIAL ACTS OF FLORIDA, 1923, WHICH HAS BECOME AN ORDINANCE PURSUANT TO SECTION 10.01 OF ORDINANCE ?•,. ;.Ar; NO. 1830, ENACTING NEW SECTION 2-°35 TO PROVIDE REQUIREMENTS FOR PUBLISHING A NOTICE IN A NEWS- PAPER OF GENERAL CIRCULATION; PROVIDING FOR . , :. REPEAL OF ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES , ,.;. IN CONFLICT HEREWITH TO THE EXTENT OF SUCH CONFLICT; PROVIDING FOR THE SEPARABILITY OF THE _ PROVISIONS HEREOF; PROVIDING FOR PROPER NOTICE OF PROPOSED ENACTMENT, AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE. : ??•x?? r?i?,??t??;?;.?? `., WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 10. 01 of the newly created Charter set forth in Ordinance No. 1830, provisions of the old charter not embraced in the new charter were made ordinances subject to change; and WHEREAS, using the type provided in the old charter has resulted in a substantial printing cost for the City, $19, 652 in 1978; and WHEREAS, the use of 7 point type will provide print which is larger than the classified ads but less costly; and WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to provide printing of notices which is more readable while at the same time reduce the printing costs now incurred by the City; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA: Section 1. That Section 25 of Chapter 9710, Special Acts of Florida, 1923, which has become an ordinance pursuant to Section 10. 01 of Ordinance No, 1830, be and the same is hereby repealed. Section 2. That Section 2-35, Printing Requirements, Notices, of Article I, In General, of Chapter 2, Administration, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Clearwater, Florida, 1962, is hereby enacted to read as follows; Section 2-35. Printing Requirements, Notices. Whenever the City is required to publish a notice or any other form of writing or document, such notice, writing or document shall.be printed in a newspaper of general circulation in the municipality utilizing 7 point type both in the title and copy of any such notice, writing or document. Ord. #1.890 -I- 3/7./79 :n i? I 1441 Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are to the extent of such conflict hereby repealed. Section 4. Should any part or provision of this ordinance be declared by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, the same shall not affect the validity of the ordinance as a whole, or any part thereof other than the part declared to be invalid. Section. 5. Notice of the proposed enactment of this ordinance has been properly advertised in a newspaper of general circulation in accordance with Chapter 166. 041, Florida Statutes. Section 6. This ordinance shall become effective immediately 3 upon its passage.
