ORDINANCE NO. 1826
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
ANNEXING A PORTION-OF LOT 10 IN SECTION 19, TOWN-
SHIP 29 SOUTH, RANGE 16 EAST OF PINELLAS GROVES
SUBDIVISION, PINELLAS COUNTY, FLORIDA, INTO THE
CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA, AND REDEFINING THE BOUNDARY LINES OF
THE CITY TO INCLUDE SAID ADDITION ACCORDING TO
THE PROVISIONS OF THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF
CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, AND THE LAWS OF FLORIDA;
AFTER PROPER PUBLIC NOTICE AND PUBLIC HEARING
THEREON, ESTABLISHING THE FIRE DISTRICT CLASSI-
FICATION FOR SAID PROPERTY; PROVIDING FOR PROPER
NOTICE OF PROPOSED ENACTMENT; AND PROVIDING
FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
received a sworn petition from U. S. Home Corporation requesting the City
to annex a certain parcel of real estate described hereinafter, owned by
it,. into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission, after due consideration of said
request for annexation, at a regular meeting; held on June 1, 1978, voted
unanimously to accept said request and authorized the proper officials to
set up a public hearing thereon for the determination and establishing of
fire district classification and to prepare an ordinance to annex said parcel
of real estate into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater in accordance
with the provisions of Chapter 171, Florida Statutes; and
WHEREAS, on August 3, 1978, the City Commission of the City
of Clearwater, after proper public notice, held a public hearing for the
determination and establishment of fire district classifications for said
real property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. After its evaluation of all evidence presented at a proper
public hearing, the City of Clearwater, acting by and through its City
Commission, by the authority and under the provisions of Chapter 171. 044,
Florida ,Statutes, hereby annexes into the corporate limits of the City of

Clearwater, Florida, and redefines the boundary lines of said City so as
to include the following described parcel of real property in Pinellas
County, Florida, and establishes fire district classification therefor:
A part of Lot 10 located in the SE 1/4 of Section 19,
Township 29 South, Range 16 East, of the Pinellas
Groves Subdivision as recorded in Plat Book 1, page
55 of the Public Records of Pinellas County, Florida,
and being more particularly described as follows:
Commence at the SW corner of the NW 1/4 of the SE 1/4
of said Section 19 and run S 89.24130" E, a distance of
472. 19 feet to a point; thence run N 0°5714211 E, a distance
of Z70. 07 feet to the P. O. B. ; thence continue along the
previous course, a distance of 39. 93 feet to a point; thence
run S 89°2403011 E, a distance of 25.0 feet to a point; thence
run S 0°57142+1 W a distance of 39.95 feet to a point; thence
run N 89°20'47" W, a distance of 25.02 feet to the P.O. B.
The above described property is hereby designated Fire
District No, 2.
Section 2. The City Commission hereby formally and according to
law, accepts the dedication'of alLeasements, streets, parks, plazas, places,
rights-of-way and other dedications to the public which have heretofore been
made by plat, deed or user within the areas so annexed.
Section 3. The City Engineer, the City Clerk and the Planning
Director are directed to include and set out and show upon the official maps
and records of the City of Clearwater the foregoing property and the fire
district classification therefor.
Section 4. This ordinance and notice of the proposed enactment of
same has been properly advertised in a newspaper of general circulation in
accordance with Chapter 166. 041, Florida Statutes, and Chapter 171.044,
Florida Statutes.
Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon
its passage and enrollment in the City of Clearwater Ordinance Book and a
copy thereof being filed in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of
Pinellas County, Florida. In accordance with Chapter 171. 091, and Chapter
171. 044, Florida Statutes, a certified copy shall be filed with the Department
of State of the State of Florida.

NOTICE OF PROPOSED ENACTMENT; AND PROVIDING
FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE.

WHEREAS, the. City Commission of the City of Clearwater, FlorTa,
received a sworn petition from U. S. Home Corporation requesting the City
to annex a certain parcel of real estate described hereinafter, owned by
it, into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission, after due consideration of said
request for" annexation, at a regular meeting held an June 1, 1978, voted
unanimously to accept said request and authorized the proper officials to
set up a public hearing thereon for the determination and establishing of
lire district classification and to prepare an ordinance to annex said parcel
of real estate into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater in accordance
with the provisions of Chapter 171, Florida Statutes; and
WHEREAS, on August 3, 1978, the City Commission of the City
of Clearwater, after proper public notice, held a public hearing for the
determination and establishment of fire district classifications for said
real property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. After its evaluation of all evidence presented at a proper
public hearing, the City of Clearwater, acting by and through its City
Commission, by the authority and under the provisions of Chapter 171.044,

Clearwater, Florida, and redefines the boundary lines of said City so as
to include the following described parcel of real property in Pinellas
County, Florida, and establishes fire district cla3aification therefor;
A part of Lot 10 located in the SE 1/4 of Section 19,
Township 29 South, Range 16 East, of the Pinellas
Groves Subdivision as recorded in Plat Book 1, page
55 of the Public Records of Pinellas County, Florida,
and being more particularly described as follows;
Commence at the SW corner of the NW 1/4 of the SE 1/4
of said Section 19 and run S 89.2413011 E, a distance of
472. 19 feet to a point; thence run N 0'57142" E, a distance
of 270.07 feet to the P. O. B. ; thence continue along the
previous course, a distance of 39.93 feet to a point; thence
run S 89'24'3011 E, a distance' of 25.0 feet to a point; thence
run S 0°5714211 W a distance of 39.95 feet to a point; thence
run N 89.2014711 W, a distance of 25.02 feet to the P. O. B.
The above described property is.hereby designated Fire
District No. 2.
Section 2. The City Commission hereby formally and according to
law-, accepts the: dedication of. all easements, streets, parks,, plazas, places,
rights-of-way and other dedications to the public which have heretofore been
made. by plat, deed or- user within the areas so annexed.
Section 3. The City Engineer, the City Clerk and the Planning
Director are directed to include and set out and show upon the official maps
and records of the City of Clearwater the foregoing property and the fire
district classification therefor.
Section 4. This ordinance and notice of the proposed enactment of
same has been properly advertised in a newspaper of general circulation in
accordance with Chapter. 166.041, Florida Statutes, and Chapter" 171.044,
Florida Statutes.
'Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon
its passage and enrollment in the City of Clearwater Ordinance Book and a
copy thereof being filed in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of
Pinellas County, Florida. In accordance with Chapter 171.091, and Chapter
171.044, Florida Statutes, a certified copy shall be filed with the Department .
of State of the State of Florida.
