AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
RELATING TO THE LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE; AMENDING SECTION
135.161, CODE OF ORDINANCES, TO ALLOW NONCOMMERCIAL
PRIVATE RECREATION GROUNDS OR PARKS AS A PERMITTED USE
IN THE OPEN SPACE/RECREATION (OS/R) ZONING DISTRICT,
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Section 135.161, Code of Ordinances, is,amended to read:
Sec, 135.161. Permitted uses.
Within Open Space/Recreation Districts, only the following uses (and
structures designed for such uses) shall be permitted:
(1) Public or noncommercial private recreation grounds or parks.
(2) Public lands of scenic or natural beauty.
(3) Public or private beaches.
(4) Public or private golf courses.
(5) Special events approved by the city commission.
(6) Accessory uses.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
