AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
RELATING TO THE LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE; AMENDING SECTION
135.155, CODE OF ORDINANCES, RELATING TO THE
PUBLIC/SEMIPUBLIC DISTRICT, TO ESTABLISH PUBLIC
RECREATION GROUNDS OR PARKS AS A PERMITTED USE; AMENDING
SECTION 135.155, CODE OF ORDINANCES, TO ESTABLISH
COMMERCIAL, AND OFFICE USES ASSOCIATED WITH MARINA
FACILITIES AND ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE SALES (FOR CONSUMPTION
ON THE PREMISES) IN CONJUNCTION WITH MARINA FACILITIES
AS CONDITIONAL USES WITHIN THE PUBLIC/SEMIPUBLIC
DISTRICT; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
CLEARWATER:
Section 1. Subsection (9) is added to Section 135.155, Code of Ordinances,
and existing Subsection (9) is renumbered as Subsection (10), to read:
Section 135.155. Permitted uses.
Within Public/Semipublic Districts, only the following uses (and structures
designed for such uses) shall be permitted:
.(9)9 , Public recreation grounds or narks.
10 ($} Accessory uses.
Section 2. Subsections (3) and (4) of Section 135.156, Code of Ordinances,
are amended to read:
Section 135.156. Conditional Uses.
Within Public/Semipublic Districts, the following uses may be permitted as
conditional uses:
(3) Marina facilities, including commercial and office uses associated
with marina facilities.
(4) Alcoholic beverage sales (consumption on-premises),j, in conjunction
with a fraternal organization, marina facilities, or a student center.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
