AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
RELATING TO UTILITIES; RENUMBERING SECTION 50.05(d)(2),
•,: CODE OF ORDINANCES, RELATING TO SEWER CONNECTION
:.' CHARGES, AS SECTION 50.05(c)(3), CODE OF ORDINANCES,
AND AMENDING THE TEXT THEREOF TO ESTABLISH NEW
WASTEWATER IMPACT FEES TO BE CHARGED AT THE RATE OF
$900.00 PER EQUIVALENT LIVING UNIT FOR ALL NEW SANITARY
SEWER SYSTEM ACCOUNTS, AND ALL EXISTING ACCOUNTS WI{ERE
CHANGES IN USE OF THE PROPERTY CAUSE AN INCREASE IN
SEWER SERVICE DEMAND, PAYABLE UPON APPLICATION FOR A
BUILDING OR PLUMBING PERMIT; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
" '• BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
i CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Paragraph (2) of Subsection (d) of Section 50.05, Code of
Ordinances, is transferred to Subsection (c) of Section 50.05, Code of
Ordinances, and renumbered as Paragraph (3) thereof, and is amended to read:
Sec. 50.05. Deposit, fees, service charges and rate scneuuies.
(c) Impact fees:
M +2+ Wastewater impact fees Sewer ^ ^^^*; eharg°F: Payable at the
building department upon application for a building or plumbing permit:
a. b,- Each sanitary sewer account Gemmereiall will,
for the purpose of establishing the wastewater impact
fee, be considered to comprise a number of equivalent mult4ple single-family
residential units or I'eguivalent living units" based upon the size of the water
meter required to serve the structure(s). The wastewater impact fee shall be
900.00 for each equivalent living unit. Equivalent living s4g-le-fami-l-y units
and fees shall be determined according-to 4n re4at4en -to wateim meter size as
shown en the following table:

or part thereof, occasioned by changes in property usage subsequent to the
effective date of this subsection shall be subject to a wastewater impact
development- fee computed in accordance with the rate set forth in subparagraph
a, above . If a building permit
is issued for an existing connection
which will increase water or sewer demand,
residee't4a! - es4dent"' usage, the total number of equivalent living
single fam4ly residential units for the old and new parts of the facility shall
be computed according to the table _set_forth in subparagraph_a, as outlined :.,
subsection.. (d)(2)b and e, above. The number of new equivalent living single
shall.be determined by subtracting the number of old
equivalent living single family res4den units in the entire facility from
the total number of equivalent living units. The wastewater impact salary
des fee will be assessed on the remaining number of new equivalent
