AND DETECTIVE GERALD McCAULEY IN THE CASE
OF KEVIN MICHAEL MEEHAN V. DETECTIVE GERALD
McCAULEY, ET AL, U;S. DISTRICT COURT CASE NO.

WHEREAS, the Clearwater Police Deparbnent and Detective
Gerald McCauley have been made defendants in an action for damages
which is the subject matter of the case of Kevin Michael Meehan v.
Detective Gerald McCauley. et aI, U. S. District Court Case No.
82-1286-Civ-T-BK;"
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REQULARL Y ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the City Attorney is hereby authorized to take any and all
steps necessary to defend Detective Gerald McCauley and the Clear.water
Police Deparbnent in case of Kevin Michael Meehan v. Detective Gerald
McCauley and the Clearwater Police Deparbnent, U. S. District Court
Case No. 82~ 1286-Civ. - T-B~.
2. That this Resolution shall become effective immediately upon
its passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of February, A. D. 1983.
