A RESOLUTION REQUESTING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FROM THE FLORIDA

WHEREAS, the City Commission"of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
has recognized a need to provide for orderly growth and management as
contemplated by the passage of the Florida Local Government Comprehensive
j Planning Act, and
WHEREAS, the State of Florida has recognized a need to assist local
governments in meeting the requirements of the Act, and
WHEREAS, the Florida Legislature has charged the Department of
Veterans and Community Affairs with administering the Local Government
Comprehensive Planning Assistance Program.
4<??'s,;; '?;:• NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, IN SESSION REGULARLY AND DULY ASSEMBLED,
,s AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the filing of an application for assistance from the Local

' s?aiF Government Comprehensive Planning Act Assistance Fund Program for the
1981-1982 Program Year is authorized.
t iS 2. That the City Commission of the City of Clearwater requests
`a the Florida Department of Veterans and Community Affairs to include the
City o£ .Clearwater application among those requesting financial assis-
tance from the Local Government Comprehensive Planning Act Assistance
:"<ar{ Fund Program for the 1981-1982 Program Year.
3. That the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
indicates its commitment to comply with the appropriate and applicable
state and local laws, rules, and regulations for the administration of
' this Assistance Fund Program, which are more fully described in Chapter
9B-S, Florida Administrative Code.
4. That this resolution shall take effect immediately upon its
adoption.
