RESOLUTION
No. 81 - 80
WHEREAS, the Pinellas County Planning Council has recognized the
multi-jurisdictional nature of urban development within Pinellas County,
and
WHEREAS, the Pinellas County Planning Council has had an on-going
program of providing limited financial assistance to local governments
for the purpose of establishing and implementing sound programs of
urban growth management.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA IN SESSION REGULARLY AND DULY ASSEMBLED,
AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida
requests financial assistance from the Pinellas County Planning Council
for the purpose of adopting and implementing a new land development
code for the City of Clearwater.
2. That the filing of an application for said funds is hereby
authorized.
3. That the City of Clearwater shall comply with all applicable
regulations of the grantor agency in regard to the use of these funds.

REVISED LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE FOR THE CITY OF CLEARWATER
AND AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF AN APPLICATION FOR SUCH ASSIS-
TANCE.
WIIEREAS, the City Commission has recognized the need to regulate
urban development and the provision of municipal services within the
limits of the City of Clearwater, and
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater has had an active urban planning
program and is preparing a revised land development code to implement
local plans and comply with the requirements for consistency included
in Chapter 163 F.S., and
WHEREAS, the implementation of said land development code will
further the city's extensive efforts in directing urban development,
and
