A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, DETERMINING
TO PROCEED WITH THE IMPROVEMENT OF METTO '
STREET, VINE TO PENNSYLVANIA AND PENNSYLVANIA
STREET, PALMETTO TO METTO STREET THROUGH
THE CONSTRUCTION OF PAVING, CURBS, DRAINAGE AND
SANITARY SEWERS TO THOSE NOT PRESENTLY SERVED,
WHEREAS, Section 117.04 of the Code of Ordinances of the City
of Clear %vater establishes the procedure to be utilized in repairing or
installing paving, drains , curbs or sanitary sewers in the streets of the
City of Clearwater; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 117,04 of the Code of Ordinances,
a notice of intention to proceed with the improvement of Metto Street, Vine
to Pennsylvania and Pennsylvania Street, Palmetto to Metto Street, such
improvement to include paving, curbs, drainage and sanitary sewers to
those'not presently served, was published once a week for two consecutive
weeks, namely on August 26, 1981, and August 31, 1981; and
WHEREAS, such notice established the public hearing date are
September 3, 1981; and `
WT-?EREAS, the City Commission held such public bearing on September
3, 1981, and received the objections to such improvement project and found
the same to be insufficient; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
believes that it would benefit the health, welfare and safety of the residents
if such project proceeded;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
pursuant to Section 117.04 of the Code of Ordinances, having held a public
hearing on September 3, 1981, after publishing notice of such hearing, for
the purpose of hearing any and all objections to the project, and having
received such objections and finding the same to be insufficient, hereby
finds and determines that the improvement of Metto Street, Vine to

Z, That the question of the assessment of the costs of such project
shall be presented to the City Commis s ion following completion of the
project.
3. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its
adoption.
