RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF CLEAR WATER, FLORIDA, OPPOSING ANY
AMENDMENTS TO THE HOUSING AND COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT ACT WHICH WOULD CHANGE THE
PRESENT FORMULA FOR GRANT FUNDS.
WHEREAS, there has been a proposal presented to the Congress
of the United States to change the formula for GDBG funds for metropolitan
r and non-metropolitan areas; and
WHEREAS, this change could result in a decrease in the amount

of grant funds for the City of Clearwater;
€ NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
E 1. That the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
`x opposes any change in the current entitlement formula in the Housing and .
Community Development Act and urges the members of Congress to also
oppose any such changes.
2. That copies of this Resolution be forwarded forthwith to Senator
Lawton Chiles, Senator Paula Hawkins, Congressman C. W. "Bill" Young,
and Congressman Bill McCollum.
3. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its
adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 4th day of June, A. D. 1981.
