A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
IDs, Y CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, REQUESTING THE
.t,E. CITIZENS OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER TO DECREASE
THEIR USE OF WATER BY TWENTY (20) PERCENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater, Florida has only received a
trace of rain in the last forty (40) days; and

• WHEREAS, the lack of rain has commenced to cause a depletion

of water in our wells; and
WHEREAS, until such time as sufficient amount of rain is received

and the water tables are built back up water conservation measures are
necessary; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearva ter, Florida,
wishes to request the citizens of the City to voluntarily decrease their use
of water by twenty (20) percent;
NOW, THEREFORE, 13E IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
I. That the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida
hereby requests the citizens of the City to voluntarily restrict their use of
water for all purposes and to voluntarily decrease such use by twenty (20)
percent.,
2. That such voluntary restraint should remain in effect until the
City receives sufficient rainfall and the water table is restored.
3. That this resolution shall be effective immediately upon its
adoption.
