A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, REQUESTING
CONGRESS TO SUPPORT THE AMENDMENT,', BEING
PROPOSED '1'0 H.R. 5Z00 BY CONGRESSMEN HAROLD
VOLKMER AND JAMES SENSENBRENNER.
WHEREAS, Congress is due to vote on H. R. 5Z00; and
WHEREAS, H. R. 5Z00 would create an administrative court such
as would permit the Federal Governm~nt to operate in an area of purely
local concern, namely, local zoning; and
WHEREAS, Congressmen Harold Volkmer and James Sensenbrenner
have proposed an amendment to H. R. 5200 lluch as would eliminate the
administrative court; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater wishes
to urge all members of Congress to vote in favor of this amendment;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
hereby requests its Congressmen to vote in favor of the amendment to
H. R. 5200 being proposed by Congressmen Harold Volkmer and James
Sensenbrenner.
2. That copies of this Resolution be forwarded to Congressmen
C. W. Bill Young and Richard Kelly.
3. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its
adoption.
