A bill to be entitled
An Act to amend Chapter 166, Florida Statute.,
to enact a new section to provide for certain
exemptions to the public meetings and records
law; providing [or the severability of the pro-
villionll hereof: providing for the repeal o[ all
laws in conflict herewith: and providing [or
the effective date hereof.
Be It Enacted by the LeGislature of the State of Florida:
Section 1. Chapter 166, Florida Statutes, is hereby
ame.nded by enacting a new section to read:
Section 166.0435 Public meetings and records,
law; exemptions and compliance.
(1) All discullSions between the chief executive officer
of a municipality, the attorney for a municipality and the
legislative body of the municipality relating to any pending
litigation the municipality may be involved in as a party shall
be exempt fram 5Z86.011.
(Z) All work products developed by a municipality in
preparing to defend, and in defending a lawsuit filed against
such municipality shall be exempt from Chapter 119.
Section Z. Should any part or provision of this Act: be
declared by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, the
same shall not affect the validity of this act all a whole or any
part thereof other than the part declared to be invalid.
