FLORIDA, REQUESTING THE STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES TO DISBURSE A GRANT FOR PUBLIC BEACHES EROSION PROJECT, WHEREAS. the City Commission of Clearwater. Florida. recognizes the need to preserve the sandy bea.ches and shores in the City of Clea.rwater, Pinellas County, and the State of Florida. and WHEREAS, said City Commission has instituted a public beaches project/study and has signed an agreement for funding assistance from the State of Florida for said project/study: and WHEREAS, by the approval of the agreement for funding lLssistance, the State of Florida, does also recognize the need for the public beaches project/sludy: and WHEREAS, the City Commission of Clearwater. Florida. desires to receive Erosion Control Trust Fund monies for the public beaches project/study to insure continuation to completion of the public beaches project/study: and WHEREAS, the City Commission intends to utilize said funds for continuation of the public beaches project/study: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA. IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED. AS FOLLOWS: 1.
