A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
CONCRA TULA TING T HE TAMPA BAY B UCS
ON AVERY SUCCESSFUL SEASON AND
PLAYOFF VICTORY.
WHEREAS, in the short period of four (4) years the Tampa Bay Bucs
have produced a team which is a credit to the Tampa Bay area; and
WHEREAS, the Tampa Bay E:ucs during the 1979 season showed
themselves to be a team capable of winning the championship; and
WHEREAS, the Tampa Bay Bucs did play an outstanding game in
their playoff victory against the Philadelphia Eagles; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater wishes
to extend the congratulations of the citizens of the City of Clearwater,
Florida to the Tampa Bay Bucs for a very successful season and to thank
the team for bringing so much success to the Tampa Bay Region
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITy
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1.
Tl1at the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
hereby extends the warmest congratulations of the citizens of the City of
Clearwater, Florida to the Tampa Bay Bucs team members. coaching
staff and owners for a very successful 1979 season, and for bringing so
much success to the Tampa Bay Region in a very short period of time.
z. That the City Commission of the City of Clearwater. Florida,
hereby extends its beat wishes to the team in the forthcoming game with
the Los Angeles Rama.
3. That a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to JOM McKay and
Hugh Culverhouse, coach and owner of the Tampa Bay Buca.
4. That this Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its
'adoption.
