RESOLUTION NO. 98-39
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA, ASSESSING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY
LOCATED IN PINE CREST SUBDIVISION, CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA, HAVING A POST OFFICE ADDRESS OF 917
SEMINOLE STREET, CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, AS
DESCRmED MORE PARTICULARLY HEREIN, IN TIIE
AMOUNT OF $2,287.00 FOR THE COSTS OF DEMOLmON
INCURRED IN REMOVING A DANGEROUS STRUCTURE,
WITHOUT THE CONSENT OF OWNER.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 47 of the Clearwater Code of Ordinances and the
Standard Building Code, the Building Official determined that certain real property described herein
and the building situated thereon were unsafe, unsanitary, unfit for human habitation, and
dangerous and detrimental to the health, safety, and general welfare of the community, and did not
properly comply with the requirements of said Code, and found that an emergency existed which,
in his opinion, involved danger to human life and health, and ordered the demolition of the
building; and

WHEREAS, the City of Cleanvater has caused the demolition of the building, and the cost
of such work should now be assessed as a lien on behalf of the City of Cleanvater against the
property; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The Building Official having ordered the demolition of the building situated on
the following described property:
Pine Crest Subdivision, the West 50 feet of the East 97 feet of Lot 1
(parcel Number 10/29/15/69138/009/(010).

Gulfstream Contractors, Inc., and Klavdia Karpof, as her interest may appear

and the City of Clearwater having now completed said work, the City Commission does hereby
assess'and charge a lien on behalf of the City of Clearwater against the property for the necessary
costs incurred as follows: ' '

Section 2. As soon as practi~ble, a Certificate of Indebtedness against the property for the
amount of assessment shall be prepared, which certificate shall constitute a lien prior to all other
liens except the lien for taxes. Said certificate, when issued, shall be payable to the City with
interest at a rate of eight percent (8%) per annum.
Section 3. The City Clerkis hereby directed to prepare a Notice of Lien in Ole amount of
the assessment against said property, and to record the same in the Public Records of Pinellas
County, Florida.

Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
