A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA, ASSESSING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY
LOCATED IN MARY LAND, BLOCK B-6, CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA, HAVING A POST OFFICE' ADDRESS OF 724
SOUTH MISSOURI AVENUE, CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, AS
. DESCRIBED MORE PARTICULARLY HEREIN, IN THE
AMOUNf OF $382.00 FOR THE COSTS INCURRED BY THE
CITY ORDERING THE OWNER TO ABATE A DANGEROUS
STRUCTURE.

WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 47 of the Clearwater Code of Ordinances and the
Standard Building Code, the Building Official determined that certain real property described herein
and the building situated Utereon were unsafe, unsanitary, unfit for human habitation, and
dangerous and detrimental to the health, safety, and general welfare of the community, and did not
co~ply with the requirements of said Code before expenses were incurred; ~d
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater and the owner have caused the abatement of the unsafe
building, and the City's costs of such work should now be assessed as a lien on behalf of the City
of Clearwater against the property; now, therefore, .
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF CLEAR\V A TER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The Building Official having ordered the abatement of the unsafe building
situated on the following described property:
A part of Lots 11, 12, 13 and 14, Block B6, Mary Land
(parcel Number 15/29/15/55764/006/0110).

and the City of Clearwater having now completed said work.. the City Commission does. hereby
. assess and charge a lien on behalf of the City of Cleanvater against the property for the necessary
costs incurred as follows: .

Section 2. As soon as practicable, a Certificate of Indebtedness against the property for the
. amount of assessment ,shall be prepared, which certificate shall constitute a lien prior to all other
liens except the lien for taxes. Said certificate, when issued, shall be payable to the City willi .
interest.at a rate of eight percent (8 %) per annum. .
. Section 3. TIle City Clerk is hereby directed to prepare a Notice of Lien in the amount of
the assessment against said property t and to record the same in the Public Records of Pinellas
County t Florida. .
Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
