RESOLUTION NO. 92~11
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
ASSESSING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY HAVING A POST OFFICE
ADDRESS OF 603 603.1/2 NORTH GARDEN AVENUE,
CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, AS DESCRIBED MORE PARTICULARLY
HEREIN, IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF $2,629.00 FOR THE COSTS
OF DEMOL! T ION I NCURRED IN REMOV I NG DANGEROU S STRUCTURES,
WITH THE CONSENT OF THE OWNERS.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 138 of the Clearwater Code of Ordinances and
the Standard Building Code, the Building Official determined that certain real
property descr i bed here in and the bu i1 dings situ ated thereon were unsafe,
unsanitary, unfit for human habitation, and dangerous and detrimental to the
health, safety, and general welfare of the community, and did not properly comply
with the requirements of said Code, and found that an emergency existed which,
in his opinion, involved imminent danger to human life and health, and ordered
the demolition of the buildings; and
WHEREAS, the owners of the property signed Waivers of Notice and Hearing,
requesting the City of Clearwater to demolish the structures located at the
property and for the City of Clearwater to file a lien against the property for
the cost of demolition; and .
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater has caused the demolition of the buildings,
and the cost of such work should now be assessed as a lien on behalf of the City
of Clearwater against the property; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Sect ion 1. The Bu i1 ding Off i cia 1 hav i ng ordered the demo 1; t i on of the
buildings situated on the following described property:
Lot 32, G. L. Bidwell's Oakwood Addition to the
Clearwater Map or Plat thereof, as r'ecorded in Plat Book
1, Page 46, of the public records of Pinellas County,
Florida.

Clearwater, Florida 34621-2717
and the City of Clearwater having now completed said work, 'the City Commission
does hereby a ~ess and charge a lien on behalf of the City of Clearwater against
the property tor the necessary costs incurred as follows:

Section 2. As'soon as practicable, a Certificate of Indebtedness against
the property for the amount of assessment shall be prepared, which certificate
shall constitute a lien prior to all other liens except the lien for taxes. Said
certificate, when issued, shall be payable to the City in not exceeding ten (10)
equal annual installments with interest at a rate not greater than eight percent
(8%) per annum.
Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby directed to prepare a Notice of Lien
in the amount of the assessment against said property, and to record the same in
, the Public Records of Pinellas County, Florida.
Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
