A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT
OF LEGAL AFFAIRS TO APPROVE AS AN INTERLOCAL

Its AGREEMENT A SEWER SERVICE AREA AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE CITY OF DUNEDIN AND THE CITY OF
CLEAR WATER.
WHEREAS, in order to prepare and plan for the future development
of the City of Clearwater, it is necessary to establish boundaries for the
sanitary sewer system of the City; and
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater has an abutting boundary with the
City of Dunedin, it is necessary to plan with them as to where each of our
service areas will be located; and
WHEREAS, the two municipalities have resolved between themselves
the areas beneficial to both for service based upon the physical characteristics
of the land;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the City of Clearwater hereby requests the Florida Department
of Legal Affairs to approve as an interlocal agreement the attached Sewer
Service Area Agreement between the City of Dunedin, Florida, and the City
of Clearwater, Florida, covering the area as set out on the map attached to
said agreement, in order to accommodate the long-range planning and design
of the sewer systems of both municipalities.
z. That a certified copy of this resolution be forwarded forthwith
to the Florida Department of Legal Affairs.
3. That this Resolution shall become effective immediately upon
' its adoption.
