A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT
BY AMA BETWEEN THE SEABOARD COAST LINE RAILROAD COMPANY
AND THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR THE
INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE OF PRE-EXEMPTION CIRCUITS
AT THE CHESTNUT AND THE COURT STREET CROSSINGS WITHIN
THE TERRITORIAL LIMITS OF THE CITY, AND PROVIDING WHEN
THIS RESOLUTION SHALL TAKE EFFECT.
s'. WHEREAS , the SEABOARD COAST LINE RAILROAD COMPANY, will perform all work

and install all materials in connection with the pre-axemption circuit within the

limits of its circuits and will provide tie-in for the City 'a circuits at the
';, automatic flashing light signals at the crossings of Chestnut Street and Court

t§' Street within the City of Clearwater; and
WHEREAS, the City will bear the entire cost of the Railroad's portion of
the pre-exemption circuit installations which is estimated at $725.00 at each grade
crossing at each location; and
WHEREAS, payment will be made by the City to Railroad of the actual cost
upon completion and submission of final bills for such installation and maintenance
?r of pre-exemption circuits at the crossings referred to in the City of Clearwater.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY
ASSEMBLED, AS FOLL(MIS :
1. That the City of Clearwater shall enter into an agreement with the
Seaboard Coast Line Railroad Company for the installation and maintenance of pre-
' ?.
exemption circuits at chestnut Street and Court Street crossings within the City,
FF such crossings being designated as Mile Post SY-874.92 and blile Post SY-874.85 at
the designated railroad crossings.
+ 2. The City agrees to pay the sum of $725.00 in each location upon the
submission of proper bills'at the completion of such work to the satisfaction of
the City.
3, That the Mayor-Commissioner, City Manager, City Clerk and City
Atto;-nay be authorized to enter into such agreement with the Seaboard Coast Line
Railroad Company as herein described.
4. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
