No. 79 - 55
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF CLEARWATER REAFFIRMING SUPPORT
AND ASSISTANCE TO PACT, INC. IN RAISING FUNDS
AND CONSTRUCTING A PERFORMING ARTS CENTER.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
through the adoption of Resolution No, 78-29, adopted March 16, 1976, did
recognize PACT, Inc, as a fund raising organization for the purpose of
constructing a performing arts center; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
' through the adoption of Resolution No. 78-127, adopted November 16, 1978,
did further support the efforts being made by PACT, Inc. ; and

WHEREAS, PACT, Inc. during the year 1979 has made great strides

toward providing a performing arts center that will be a credit to all the

tt, citizens of the City of Clearwater; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to once again reaffirm its
support for PACT, Inc. ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the City Commission of the City of Clearwater hereby
commends PACT, Inc. for the progress it has made during the year 1979 in
developing a method and architectural plans whereby the performing arts
center will become a reality in Clearwater.
2. That the City Commission hereby wishes to reaffirm its support
of PACT, Inc. in its efforts.
3. That a certified copy of this Resolution be forwarded forthwith
to the President of PACT, Inc.
4. That this Resolution shall become effective immediately upon
its adoption.
