RESOLUTION
No. 79 - 54
A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 79-45
TO CLARIFY CITY COMMISSION INTENT AND TO
RATIFY AND CONFIRM ALL ACTIONS TAKEN BY THE
CITY ATTORNEY'S OFFICE TO ABATE THE NOISE
COMPLAINT AT THE WEEPING WILLOW BAR.
WHEREAS, the City Commission at its meeting held May 17, 1974,
adopted Resolution No. 79-45 authorizing the City Attorney's office to bring
"2dt1 °;an action for an injunction to abate a public nuisance at the Weeping Willow
Bar; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend such Resolution for the purpose
of clarifying the intent of the City Commission in adopting such Resolution;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That Resolution No. 79-45 be and the same is hereby amended
by adding the following additional paragraph:
"That the City Commission hereby ratifies and confirms
all actions taken by the City Attorney's office in furtherance
of abating the public nuisance located in the neighborhood of
the Weeping Willow Bar, which Bar is located at 2800 Gulf to
Bay Boulevard, Clearwater, Florida, since the City
Commission first learned of the problem at its meeting
held May 3, 1979, including filing a law suit to seek an
injunction abating the public nuisance on May 15, 1979. "
2. That except as amended hereby, all other portions of Resolution
No. 79-45 are hereby reaffirmed.
3. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its
adoption.
