A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, DEDICATING
CERTAIN CITY OWNED PROPERTY. FOR PUBLIC
PARK AND OPEN SPACE USE, AND REPEALING
FORMER RESOLUTION DEDICATING SAME.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
previously passed Resolution No. 79-8 on February 15, 1979, which dedicated
certain City owned property for public park and open space use; and
WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the City Commission
that the description in said Resolution contained a scrivener's error and
the Resolution should be repealed; and
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater is presently the owner of certain
property lying abutting Clearwater Bay; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Commission of the City of
Clearwater to dedicate such land to public park and open space use;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the following described property is hereby dedicated for
public park and open space use for the use and benefit of the citizens of
the City of Clearwater, Florida:
Lot 5 of Romponts & Baskin's Subdivision as recorded
in Plat Book 57, page 1 of the Public Records of Pinellas
County, Florida, less the right-of-way of Osceola Avenue.
2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to record this Resolution in
the Public Records of Pinellas County, Florida.
3. Resolution No. 79-8 which was passed by the City Commission
on February 15, 1979, is hereby repealed in its entirety.
