A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, SUPPORTING THE
TAMPA BAY REGIONAL PLANNING COUNCIL IN ITS
EFFORT TO OBTAIN A U. S. ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
ADMINISTRATION GRANT.
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater is aware that the Tampa Bay
Regional Planning Council is one of the fifteen (15) councils being considered
for an Economic Development Administration grant; and
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater recognizes the need for
municipal support of a regional economic development program; and
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater itself understands the need to
diversify and expand the economy of the region;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the City Commission of the City of Clearwater supports the
Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council in its efforts to obtain a U. S.
Economic Development Administration grant for the fiscal year 1978.
2. That copies of this resolution shall be forwarded to Tampa Bay
Regional Planning Council.
3. That this resolution shall take effect immediately upon its
adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of August , A.D., 1978.
