RESOLUTION
No. 78.- 72
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION APPOINTING
JEFFREY E. BUTLER AS CITY TREASURER OF THE
CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Clearwater has, of this
date, appointed Jeffrey E. Butler as Assistant City Manager for Finance; and
WHEREAS, Section 58 of the Charter of the City of Clearwater authorizes
the appointment of a City Treasurer who, under the supervision of the City
M Manager, should be director of the Department of Finance;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
4. COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the City Commission of the City of Clearwater hereby officially
appoints Jeffrey E. Butler as City Treasurer of said City and authorizes him
to execute all checks and handle all accounts of the City of Clearwater-in
said capacity, which said accounts are maintained in any of the various
Banks of the area, including authority to sign requisitions required by any
Construction Trust Fund held and managed by any of the various Banks.
2. That certified copies of this Resolution be forwarded forthwith
to the various"] arks of the area where accounts and Construction Trust Funds
of the City of Clearwater are maintained and said copy shall be the official
authorization of the City of Clearwater to such Bank to accept the signature
of Jeffrey E. Butler as City Treasurer immediately.
3. That this Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its
adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 1st day of June, A. D. 1978.
