A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, SUPPORTING
PASSAGE OF A BILL PROVIDING FOR GRADE SEPARA-
TION INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS ON U. S. 19 IN
PINELLAS COUNTY AND FOR IMPLEMENTATION IN A
STAGED, FIVE-YEAR PROGRAM BY THE DEPARTMENT
OF TRANSPORATION.
WHEREAS, a bill has been submitted to the Legislature of the State
of Florida which would require the Department of Transportation to provide
for grade separation intersection improvements on U.S. .19 in Pinellas
County; and
WHEREAS, such improvements on U. S. 19 are badly needed in order
to facilitate the orderly flow of traffic;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS;
1. That the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
indicates its approval of house Bill 1830 submitted by Representative Easley
and urges that such bill be passed by the State Legislature during its current
session.
2. That certified copies of this resolution be forwarded to the Pinellas
County Legislative Delegation and to the Mayorst Council of Pinellas County.
